This course introduces students to the basics of Biblical Hebrew with the goal of helping them become more confident readers and students of the Old Testament. Students will learn the Hebrew alphabet and vowel system, acquire foundational vocabulary, understand basic Hebrew grammar, explore key features of Hebrew verbs and syntax, and learn to use modern Bible study tools. By the end of the course, students should be able to sound out pointed Hebrew text, recognize common words and grammatical forms, use lexical resources, and perform basic word studies and translation exercises.
