Every believer knows the importance of prayer. Prayer has everything to do with the Kingdom of God. Yet, it takes work to pray. As disciples of Jesus, we want to learn to pray and to grow as men and women of prayer. Jesus taught us to pray, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done earth as it is in heaven.” The old prophet Samuel said, “As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you…” To him, lack of prayer was sinning against God. Paul urges the church to pray, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Through this session, we desire to grow in prayer life by learning and deepening our understanding of prayer until we can actually pray.
