This course introduces the Christ-centered approach, a powerful and indispensable method for interpreting the inspired word of God. Taught by the New Testament, the early church, and the Reformation, this approach reads all of Scripture through the 'Jesus Lens,' viewing it as a unified story of God's redemptive plan with Jesus Christ as its ultimate fulfillment and center. This Christ-centered reading is the key to life-changing Bible study and preaching, enabling students to move beyond moralistic lessons and heroic narratives. We will study the Christ-centered nature of the whole Bible, addressing questions such as: What is the relationship between Christ and an inductive method (a chapter-by-chapter study)? How does a Christocentric perspective help us see the unity of the Bible? What are some essential New Testament ways to preach Christ from all Scripture?
